Sitting empty for 12 years, bringing Glendevon back to life was labour of love for our Client. The original kitchen has been extended both to the rear and side to form a modern open plan kitchen / dining room.  Large steel beams support the first floor walls and floor structure, facilitating the removal of a significant area of existing ground floor wall structure, in order to maximise the floor area. Sliding doors to the rear allow access to the large multi terrace garden whilst proving natural daylight to the dining area. The addition of rooflights bring in a further dimension of daylight to both the kitchen and dining areas giving a light and modern feel. A WC and utility room have been incorporated within the extension to the side, retaining a small section of the existing garage for storage. The extents of the existing garden were realised upon clearing 12 years worth of vegetation, and removing several tonnes of earth. A multi-functional terraced garden has been created providing entertaining space, a growing area and a home office. Finished in natural materials the garden provides a tranquil addition to the plot, and the perfect flow from the impeccably designed interior of the dwelling.
